Social Media Company Tagboard Partners With Teams, Networks On Instagram Story Displays

Washington-based social media aggregation and display outfit Tagboard has partnered with the MLB Giants, Eagles, Warriors, Coyotes, Sounders, FC Bayern Munich, Telemundo and Golf Channel on Instagram Story Displays, including new in-stadium visualizations of Instagram Stories. For each team, Instagram Stories including some behind-the-scenes content will be shown on stadium videoboards, representing an additional fan experience element. The two networks will integrate the Instagram Stories into their live broadcasts. “This is a big step for us to be involved on this with a team in every major U.S. league,” said Tagboard Senior VP/Revenue & Partnerships Nathan Peterson. Financial terms were not disclosed, but Tagboard operates on a software-as-a-service model, with clubs then able to monetize the new social media-based inventory. Tagboard has a history with some of the teams, including the Eagles, on other social media visualization efforts. “We see this as a really interesting opportunity to explore new ideas and bring more of the social media world into our game presentation,” said Eagles Dir of Production Eric Long.
