NFL Agent Deryk Gilmore Opening Day 1 Sports & Entertainment Agency

NFL player agent Deryk Gilmore is opening his own agency, Day 1 Sports & Entertainment, after working for Priority Sports & Entertainment for 12 years. Gilmore co-represents about 15 NFLers with Priority and Maven Sports Group, including Cowboys OT La’el Collins and Buccaneers WR Mike Evans. He will continue to co-rep those players with Priority and Maven, while recruiting new clients and expanding into the areas of representing basketball and baseball players. He also will rep coaches and player personnel execs in his new firm, which is based in Atlanta. The parting with Priority is amicable. Priority Founder & CEO Mark Bartelstein on Thursday said, "We have loved having Deryk as part of our family and we are excited for him as he starts out in this new chapter in his life. We wish him nothing but the best of luck." Gilmore said working at Priority has been a blessing. "I learned a great deal from all of the individuals there, and I was proud to be a part of such a dynamic company,” he said. "Often, when agents leave their companies relationships are broken, but I believe in building bridges, not burning them. I’m grateful to have left Priority on good terms and am excited to continue to represent all of my players, who are my family.”
