Pegulas Acquisition Of AdPro Sports Marks Another Step In Diversifying Their Holdings

Bills co-Owners Terry and Kim Pegula yesterday acquired a majority ownership stake in N.Y.-based AdPro Sports and the company's President Ron Raccuia said the move will serve as "rocket fuel" for the branded merchandise firm, according to Matt Glynn of the BUFFALO NEWS. Raccuia: "It just gives us everything we need to become a true national company in a short period of time." Glynn notes much about how AdPro runs will "remain the same." Raccuia will stay in his role and he "maintains ownership in the new partnership." The firm's management team also "remains in place." AdPro's hub of operations will continue to be its facility in Cheektowaga, N.Y., near the Buffalo Niagara Int'l Airport. For the Pegulas, the AdPro deal "marks another step to diversify their business holdings." Pegula Sports & Entertainment COO Bruce Popko said that the deal gives them the capability to create "branded merchandise for clients." Popko: "It could be anything from a wineglass to a hat." For instance, AdPro "might produce uniforms for a company's employees." AdPro has "about 100 employees" and generates about $20M in annual sales (BUFFALO NEWS, 8/22).
