T'Wolves Owner Taylor Not Interested In Selling, Says Rockets Sale Will Drive Value

T'Wolves Owner Glen Taylor now owns about 70% of the franchise, and he said while two of the club's minority owners "have indicated that they're going to sell," he "won't be selling any" of his stock, according to Sid Hartman of the Minneapolis STAR TRIBUNE. Taylor said the franchise already has "another limited (owner) that is going to buy" the minority stocks. But he added, "Whatever I have, I’m keeping.” Taylor: "We’re running through terrific times not only for the owners and the players, because of the interest, but just the value that has been put on the franchises that have been sold." Taylor thinks the Rockets "will go for a lot of money." He said, "That is helpful to other teams like myself in that our values go up. That’s on the market, so we’ll see what that one goes for. I think it’ll be helpful to my team.” Meanwhile, the T'Wolves will play the Warriors in early October in Shanghai and Shenzhen, and Taylor "plans to take about 150 Wolves employees on the trip." He said that the team will "do well financially on the trip, in part because of the Chinese television exposure" (Minneapolis STAR TRIBUNE, 8/4).
