Chips & Putts: Shanshan Feng Debuts New Spotted-Cow Print Outfit At U.S. Women's Open

GOLFCHANNEL.com's Randall Mell noted U.S. Women's Open first-round leader Shanshan Feng "separated herself in more ways than one" on Thursday by wearing "spotted-cow print shorts and matching shirt sleeves." They are the "newest ensemble in her spotted-cow print collection specially made for her" by Taiwan-based Pro Simon. Feng said, "The cow outfit has become one of my signatures, so when I'm wearing the cow pants, people recognize me more. I think that's good, to bring out your personality." Mell noted Feng's spotted-cow print pants were a "huge hit in England when Feng wore them at the Ricoh Women's British Open last year" (GOLFCHANNEL.com, 7/13).

FOR THE BIRDS: In Baltimore, Jonas Shaffer notes John Daly "decided to show some reverence for the local baseball club" on Thursday at the Constellation Senior Players Championship by wearing "argyle Orioles pants." California-based Loudmouth is the "apparel company responsible" for the pants (Baltimore SUN, 7/14).

TRACTOR PULL: In Iowa, Matt Coss noted John Deere has been the title sponsor of the PGA Tour event in the Quad Cities area for two decades, the "third longest active partnership" on the Tour. PGA Tour Commissioner Jay Monahan said that John Deere and the tournament "provides the perfect business model for the Tour" (QUAD-CITY TIMES, 7/13).

BLING ON THE LINKS: WOMEN'S WEAR DAILY's Evan Clark reported fashion jewelry designer Kendra Scott is teaming with the PGA Tour Northern Trust, which is the "first of four events" in the FedExCup Playoffs. The jewelry brand will be "showing off its latest designs to fans attending the tournament" in N.Y. and give fans a "chance to get into the design game themselves." The event will also feature the Kendra Scott Studio, an "on-course, open-air venue" (WWD.com, 7/13).
