Overnight Ratings: NBC Down For NASCAR At Daytona; Women's PGA Championship Flat

NBC on Saturday aired its first Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race of the season from Daytona, drawing a 3.0 overnight rating for the Coke Zero 400 from 8:15-11:00pm ET. That figure is down from a 3.2 last year. The race in '15, which was NBC's first year with the new media-rights package, drew a 2.6 overnight, but that race had a three-hour rain delay, forcing the telecast to air from 11:15pm-2:30am. TNT in its final year with the race in '14 drew a 2.4 overnight, but that race aired on a Sunday afternoon due to a rainout on Saturday night. TNT in '13 drew a 3.3 overnight for the summer Daytona race.

FIRST TIME FOR EVERYTHING: NBC also drew a 0.7 overnight Sunday for the final round of the KPMG Women's LPGA Championship, which saw Danielle Kang beat Brooke Henderson by one stroke for her first LPGA victory. That figure is flat compared to last year, when Henderson beat Lydia Ko in a playoff. The '15 final round drew a 0.6, when Inbee Park won by five shots.

SENIOR LIVING: Fox drew a 0.6 overnight for the final round of the U.S. Senior Open on Sunday, which saw Kenny Perry win by two strokes over Kirk Triplett. Last year's event aired in mid-August, with rain postponing Sunday's final round. The final round in '15, which was in late June, drew a 0.8 overnight as Jeff Maggert won by two stokes over Colin Montgomerie.

NOTES: ESPN on Saturday afternoon drew a 0.5 overnight for the USMNT's win over Ghana in a soccer friendly. The net drew the same rating for the MLB All-Star Selection Show on Sunday night from 7:00-8:00pm. Meanwhile, FS1 on Sunday afternoon drew a 0.7 for Germany's win over Chile in the final of the FIFA Confederations Cup.
