Baseball HOFer VIN SCULLY will make a live appearance at the Hollywood Bowl where he will narrate "LINCOLN PORTRAIT" by AARON COPLAND, which "mixes orchestral music with the words of ABRAHAM LINCOLN, excerpted from speeches and debates." The performances are featured in the July 13 and July 18 shows. Narrators over the years have included Basketball HOFer JULIUS ERVING (LATIMES.com, 6/13).

COLLEGE CASH: Ohio State's new men's basketball coach CHRIS HOLTMANN will make $3M per year over the course of an eight-year deal. The term sheet "stipulates that if Holtmann were to terminate his employment within the first four years of the deal [before June '21], he would owe Ohio State the remaining total cash compensation of the contract, multiplied by the years left on the deal." So if Holtmann "wanted to take another job after two seasons," the buyout on his end would be $108M. Holtman will be paid $825,000 from OSU's apparel partnership with Nike. He will also be paid $10,000 per year for "one required appearance on behalf of the Coca-Cola company" (CLEVELAND.com, 6/13)....Oklahoma State football coach MIKE GUNDY signed a "long-term rollover contract" with the school. The five-year deal will be $4.2M annually with a $125,000 annual escalator. His previous contract, which would have expired in '19, paid him approximately $3.9M per year (ENIDNEWS.com, 6/13)....The pending $16.25M contract of Colorado football coach MIKE MACINTYRE is "expected to finally be approved this week after five months of waiting" (DENVERPOST.com, 6/12).

NAMES: TPG Capital co-Founder DAVID BONDERMAN resigned from the Uber BOD last night after he made a "disparaging remark about women at an Uber meeting" yesterday (N.Y. TIMES, 6/14). Bonderman is a Celtics investor who is also a part of group looking to bring the NHL back to Seattle (THE DAILY)....Indians C YAN GOMES joined the team's athletic trainers yesterday at Progressive Field to "host a stop of the national PLAY campaign, which advocates healthy lifestyle choices for children" (CLEVELAND.com, 6/13)...The Indians yesterday selected Gonzaga P ELI MORGAN in the eighth round of the MLB Draft. Morgan is the son of USA Today Sports Media Group President DAVE MORGAN (THE DAILY)....Blue Jays RF JOSE BAUTISTA established the Bautista Family Education Fun in '11 as his way of "paying good will forward." In its inaugural year, the foundation "focused on youth from his home country in the Dominican Republic but has since expanded to Canadian athletes as well."
