Overnight Ratings: U.S.-Mexico Qualifier Big For FS1; PGA Tour Bucks Sunday Trend

FS1 last night drew a 1.5 overnight rating for the U.S.-Mexico FIFA World Cup qualifier, which ended in a 1-1 draw. That figure projects to be FS1's best figure on record for the matchup between the two national teams. Norfolk led all markets with a 2.64 local rating, followed by DC (2.57) and Baltimore (2.52).

FORGET PARIS: NBC on Saturday morning saw what is likely the lowest French Open men's final on record. Rafael Nadal beat Stan Wawrinka in straight sets for his 10th title from Roland Garros, with the telecast drawing a 1.3 overnight rating. That is down from a 1.6 for Novak Djokovic's win over Andy Murray in four sets last year, and down from a 1.9 for Wawrinka's win over Djokovic in four sets in '15. Nadal's win over Djokovic in '14 drew a 2.1 overnight, while Nadal's win over David Ferrer in '13 drew a 1.7 overnight.

MEMPHIS GAINS: The PGA Tour yesterday saw its first final round audience gain in over four months. CBS drew a 1.7 overnight for the final round of the FedEx St. Jude Classic, which saw Daniel Berger hold off Charl Schwartzel and Whee Kim by one stroke. Phil Mickelson at one point was tied for the lead on the back nine, but finished ninth. Berger also won the event last year (1.4 overnight). Mickelson in '16 finished three strokes back in a tie for second.
