Red Bulls Sign Deal To Make Seatgeek Official Fan Ticket Exchange Partner

The Red Bulls have signed a partnership with Seatgeek making the ticket platform the club’s official fan ticket exchange. The Red Bulls are the fourth MLS club to strike a deal with Seatgeek since it became a league partner last June, joining Minnesota United, the Timbers and Sporting KC. The deal will make Seatgeek the Red Bulls' marketplace provider for secondary tickets starting immediately, and will also provide the N.Y.-based company with permanent signage and ribbon board advertisements at Red Bull Arena, in addition to digital and social assets, said Red Bulls Chief Commercial Officer Amy Scheer. The club currently has a deal with Ticketmaster to serve as its primary ticketer. Scheer said this deal does not include those rights in future years, adding that the club did not previously have an official secondary market partner. Scheer said that Seatgeek’s technology and open-ticket model “matches up with our fan-friendly approach ensuring our fans have access to tickets in the way that they want to buy them.” She said the club will look to use elements of SeatGeek’s open platform, which allows for selling tickets across a wide range of e-commerce platforms, starting next season. Financial terms were not disclosed.
