Secondary Market Prices Climbing Rapidly For Game 1 Of Warriors-Cavaliers NBA Finals

Prices on the secondary market for Game 1 of the NBA Finals tomorrow night at Oracle Arena "just keep increasing," according to Jon Becker of the SAN JOSE MERCURY NEWS. TickPick has prices for Cavaliers-Warriors listed at an "average of $1,850.30 per ticket." Unlike the past two NBA Finals at Oracle, which also featured Cavs-Warriors, ticket prices are "rapidly climbing -- it will cost an average of $2,216.11 for a Game 2 ticket on the secondary market." If there is a Game 5, fans will be "shelling out $2,435 on average for one of those tickets." Game 7 prices are "pegged at $3,612.80." There is "much less volatility in the ticket market in Cleveland for games 3, 4 and (if necessary) 6." Fans in Cleveland are "shelling out an average of $1,335 per ticket for Game 3 and $1,640 for Game 4." The average ticket prices for a Game 6 in Cleveland -- $1,659 -- are "still cheaper than Game 1 prices in Oakland" (SAN JOSE MERCURY NEWS, 5/31). In Cleveland, Kevin Kleps noted there are "more than 20,000 tickets on the secondary market for Cavs-Warriors III." That is the "largest market of the three Finals between the teams, and the second-biggest of the last seven Finals." TicketIQ said that the "average list price" for the four games in Oakland is $2,095, with a get-in cost of $431. The list norm for the three scheduled games at Quicken Loans Arena is "$1,297, with a low of $303." The Cleveland numbers are the "lowest of three Cavs-Warriors title fights." The average list price at Oracle Arena, meanwhile, is a "three-year high, though the get-in cost has dropped $234" from '16 (CRAINSCLEVELAND.com, 5/30).
