A-B InBev Becomes Landmark-Level Partner For Detroit's New Little Caesars Arena

A-B InBev has "agreed to a multiyear deal as a Landmark-level partner at Little Caesars Arena, replacing Miller Light with Bud Light as the official domestic beer" of the Red Wings, according to Kurt Nagl of CRAIN'S DETROIT BUSINESS. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. The deal also gives the brewer naming rights to the outdoor Budweiser Biergarten, the Goose Island Pub and the Bud Light Upper Concourse Bar. The Biergarten, located outside the northwest entrance of the arena, "will feature a glass-enclosed, four-season pavilion bar with a retractable roof," while the Goose Island Pub will be on the "main level concourse and offer a wide range of beverages." The Landmark-level corporate deals are "multimillion dollar investments and the second highest level of branding investment in the new arena." Nagl noted Labatt Blue is the "official and exclusive Canadian import beer of the Red Wings." Other Landmark-level sponsors include Ohio-based Huntington Bank, Dallas-based Comerica Bank, Grand Rapids-based Meijer and St. Joseph Mercy Health System (CRAINSDETROIT.com, 5/15).
