Danica Patrick Continues Sponsorships With Code 3 Associates, One Cure Initiative

Code 3 Associates, a nonprofit specializing in animal rescue and recovery in disaster areas, "will sponsor three more Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series races with Danica Patrick in conjunction with the One Cure project and a fourth race alone," according to Brant James of USA TODAY. Code 3 Associates and One Cure will "sponsor Patrick's No. 10 Ford on May 13 at Kansas Speedway, in the Open all-star preliminary race on May 20 at Charlotte Motor Speedway and Aug. 19 at Bristol Motor Speedway." The Kansas and Charlotte cars will "have a Wonder Woman movie paint scheme promoting the June 2 release." Code 3 Associates "will be primary sponsor alone on June 25 at Sonoma Raceway" (USA TODAY, 4/27). MOTORSPORT.com's Lee Spencer noted the One Cure initiative, which is based at the Colorado State Univ. Flint Animal Cancer Center (FACC), "provides cancer research on pets in an effort to improve the diagnosis and treatment of animals and assist humans in the process." The FACC "treats over 1,500 animal cancer patients each year" (MOTORSPORT.com, 4/26). Patrick last night unveiled the No. 10 Wonder Woman/One Cure Ford she will drive at Kansas Speedway on May 13 and during the All-Star Open. Patrick said, “Between Wonder Woman and the word ‘warrior,’ I feel it speaks to all of us really.” Patrick also unveiled her Code 3 Associates paint scheme for this weekend’s race at Richmond. Patrick: “It’s the first time Code 3 is going to be on the car this year, and they’ve stepped up beyond what they originally planned to do, to do extra races this year" (“NASCAR Race Hub,” FS1, 4/26).
