Executive Transactions

BHSC Global, the newly created parent company of MLB player rep firm Beverly Hills Sports Council, named former NWSL Commissioner JEFF PLUSH to run its newly developed properties division. Plush began earlier this month and reports to BHSC co-CEOs RICK THURMAN and ROB PONGER. BHSC Global Properties will focus on developing partnerships between brands and properties in the sports, entertainment, media and marketing industries. Prior to joining the NWSL, Plush had stints with Helium Sports Group, the Rapids, EPL club Arsenal and Altitude Sports & Entertainment (Liz Mullen, Staff Writer).

NEW FOX HIRES: Fox Network Group hired GREG STANGEL from CAA Sports and DEREK MURPHY from the 31Ventures Consultancy. Stangel and Murphy will both carry the title Senior VP/Ad Sales, Global Solutions, newly created positions that will report to Exec VP/Global Solutions DANIELLE MAGED. In these roles, Stangel and Murphy will sell across Fox Network Group and 21st Century Fox’ domestic and international properties. Stangel spent eight years at CAA Sports. Murphy has had roles at USA Today, Huffington Post and AmEx (John Ourand, Staff Writer).

: NBA D-League Iowa Energy GM & Dir of Basketball Operations CHRIS MAKRIS, who has "been with the organization since its inception," is leaving for an "expanded position" in the Grizzlies' front office. He will "conclude his Energy duties April 30" (DESMOINESREGISTER.com, 4/24). The T'Wolves in January bought the Energy from the Grizzlies (THE DAILY)....Pitt Deputy AD/External Affairs JULIO FREIRE is "no longer with the university." He "joined Pitt's athletic department a little more than a year ago" before stepping down April 14 (POST-GAZETTE.com, 4/24).
