Tony Romo will not be the only new person on CBS Sports’ top NFL broadcast team this season. The net also will have a new lead producer, as CBS named Jim Rikhoff as the top producer overseeing the "TNF" games and marquee Sunday afternoon games. Rikhoff, who has been with CBS Sports since ’85, will join Jim Nantz, Romo, Tracy Wolfson and director Mike Arnold on the network’s top NFL games. Rikhoff, who spent the past three seasons as the replay producer for "TNF," takes over from Lance Barrow, who has been CBS’ lead NFL game producer since ’04. Barrow will remain as coordinating producer of CBS’ golf telecasts, which include The Masters, PGA Championship and PGA Tour events. Barrow will continue to produce some football games and train production members. The move for CBS is an opportunity to set up lead producers for each of its top broadcast properties: NFL (Rikhoff), golf (Barrow), college football (Craig Silver) and college basketball (Mark Wolff). “Lance has done an outstanding job producing our NFL coverage and has been a tremendous ambassador and advocate for CBS Sports as he worked with teams throughout the National Football League,” CBS Sports Chair Sean McManus said via email. “His leadership has helped position us for continued success. We are very excited to hand the reigns to Jim, his experience, knowledge and relationships within CBS and around the National Football League make him the perfect fit to lead our broadcasts going forward.”
