Wichita State, Under Armour Make Partnership Official With Eight-Year Agreement

Wichita State has officially announced an "eight-year agreement with Under Armour to outfit its athletic department," according to Paul Suellentrop of the WICHITA EAGLE. UA will "provide uniforms, shoes and practice gear for Wichita State’s 15 sports beginning July 1." Several sports are "under contract to other companies and will wear Under Armour as those deals expire." The men’s basketball team "will remain with Nike" through the '18-19 season. The move to UA is "not connected to WSU’s switch to the American Athletic Conference, also coming on July 1." WSU AD Darron Boatright last week said that relocation would "change the contract." Boatright added that the contract has been "negotiated over the past year." He declined to reveal terms of the contract (KANSAS.com, 4/17).
