SNY Ad Sales Up 10% For Mets' Telecasts; In-Market Streaming Creating New Inventory

The Mets are putting up wins to start the '17 season, and off the field, things are also going swimmingly. SNY President Steve Raab said that sales on the team-owned RSN are up around 10% from a year ago. Raab: "Dollars from renewal deals have come in at more than 100% for the second year in a row, and new business is pacing plus 20%." He added that was just about on internal projections, which have the RSN achieving double-digit sales growth for the third straight year. The auto category is pacing sales, and there is new money from First Data (sponsor of the team's Spring Training facility), Papa John’s, Boston-based Investors Bank & Trust and Charter's Spectrum service. New in-game ad integrations include Pitchcast, sponsored by Jeep. In-market streaming of games has also added an incremental 35 digital sales opportunity, Raab said.
