Jazz Replacing Plastic Chairs At Vivint Smart Home Arena With Cushioned Blue Seats

Seats at the Jazz' Vivint Smart Home Arena are getting an upgrade, as the green plastic chairs that have been part of the arena since it opened in '91 will be "replaced with cushioned blue seats thoughout," according to Brandon Judd of the DESERET NEWS. The change is "part of the building's renovation efforts that will be completed by this fall." The new cushioned chairs will be the Jazz' navy blue color and will "feature armrests and cupholders." Jazz fans "attached to the old seats can get their hands on them too: season ticket holders who renew their seats will be offered the chance to purchase the outgoing green plastic seats." Meanwhile, the Jazz also announced the "formation of a 'super club' on level two with space for 1,700 guests." The space will "wrap around two-thirds of the arena and include open social spaces with a variety of meal options" (DESERET NEWS, 3/21).
