Univ. of Cincinnati men’s basketball coach MICK CRONIN in a lawsuit is alleged to owe "at least $206,000 in unpaid fees and interest related to contract negotiations" to The Legacy Agency. The agency says that it "negotiated Cronin’s first contract" with UC in '06 as well as "five subsequent amendments." That includes a '14 extension that is "expected to pay him more than" $2M a year through March '21. The suit says Cronin "agreed to pay the agency" 4% of all guaranteed compensation, but he "didn’t pay six invoices, each for $25,000," submitted between June '14 and November '16. The invoices total $150,000 (CINCINNATI ENQUIRER, 3/7). 

NAMES: ONE DIRECTION band member NIALL HORAN is "being honored by Golf Digest with an Arnie Award" for his golf-related charity endeavors. In '16, Horan "teamed up with JUSTIN ROSE and his wife, KATE, for a charity event and sent a signed guitar to JASON DAY for auction at another function." He also "launched Modest! Golf Management, a boutique representation agency focused on the game's rising young talent." The agency has "signed two-time South African amateur champion THRISTON LAWRENCE and Italian standout GUIDO MIGLIOZZI and hopes to add about 10 more players to their stable" (GOLFDIGEST.com, 3/6)....Former Knicks announcer JOHN ANDARIESE, the "beloved analyst who became synonymous with Knicks basketball both on television and radio across nearly 40 years in the booth, is suffering from advanced dementia." Andariese, 78, "began working on the team’s radio broadcasts" in '72 and for 12 years was the network’s TV analyst alongside MARV ALBERT "before returning to the radio side." He resigned in '12 in part to "spend more time with his family" (N.Y. POST, 3/7).

TNT’s Stan Van Gundy, ESPN’s Tim Reed, NBA Playoffs and NFL Draft

On this week’s pod, SBJ’s Austin Karp has two Big Get interviews. The first is with TNT’s Stan Van Gundy as he breaks down the NBA Playoffs from the booth.
