Fans for The Cure Founder & CEO ED RANDALL on Thursday night held the organization's 2nd Annual All-Star Celebration Dinner, which emphasized "testing early for prostate cancer." D-backs coach RON GARDENHIRE last week was diagnosed with prostrate cancer, becoming the "latest known example of how the disease is all too commonplace within the MLB family." Randall said, "We're going to solve this thing. We believe in zero tolerance, that nobody should die of prostate cancer, that early detection is everything" (MLB.com, 2/24).
