The Indians promoted Exec VP/Sales & Marketing BRIAN BARREN to President of Business Operations, establishing a "clear hierarchy in the team's front office," with CHRIS ANTONETTI running baseball operations. When MARK SHAPIRO left in '15 to run the Blue Jays, he "ran the baseball and business side." After Shapiro left, Owner PAUL DOLAN "took over the business operations." Barren also had a 24-year stint with Procter & Gamble (CLEVELAND.com, 2/13).

EVERYBODY'S ALL-AMERICAN: Lagardère Sports has "promoted two executives to newly created positions." President of Golf Consulting JAY DANZI, "best known as agent to golfer JORDAN SPIETH, has been elevated" to U.S. COO. MARC RICCIO, who "joined the company last year," has been named Exec VP/U.S. Commercial Sales & Development. Danzi will report to Lagardère Sports President & CEO for the Americas ANDY PIERCE. Riccio will "report to Danzi." The moves "create a centralized sales division for Lagardère Sports’ U.S. operations" (SPORTSBUSINESS JOURNAL, 2/13 issue).

EXECS: Spectra by Comcast Spectacor named Ticketmaster VP/Engineering KEITH WHITE CTO for its Ticketing & Fan Engagement Division (Spectra)....MiLB named former Reds GM DAN O'BRIEN JR. Senior Exec Advisor to MiLB President & CEO PAT O'CONNER. O'Brien last season was a Senior Advisor to Royals Senior VP & GM DAYTON MOORE and before that had a 10-year stint as Brewers Baseball Operations Special Assistant to the GM (MiLB)....The Lightning promoted the following: RYAN COOK to Dir of Corporate Sales; JIM VAN DAM to Manager of Corporate Sales; ADAM LAWSON to Manager of Inside Sales; and COLIN COOK to Account Manage for Corporate Ticket Sales (THE DAILY)....Univ. of Pennsylvania Associate AD/Facility Management DR. MICHAEL DIORKA is retiring at the end of this month (Penn)....Temple Univ. named DAVE GERSON Multimedia Coordinator & Specialist With Advanced Graphics. As SWAG Coordinator, he will "develop and showcase an array or graphic designs for social media usage" (ESPN.com, 2/13).
