Target will serve as the title sponsor of the '17 MLS All-Star Game, which will take place Aug. 2 at Soldier Field. The retail giant replaces AT&T, which had sponsored the event since '09. Target last month signed an official partnership with MLS (Ian Thomas, Staff Writer).

A NEW CHAPTER? In Ft. Worth, Kaskovich & Baker noted Ben Hogan Golf Equipment, launched two years ago to “try and revive the iconic brand’s place in the golf club business, filed for bankruptcy over the weekend.” The Chapter 11 petition “came less than a month after the company laid off most of its workforce." The filing “listed both assets and liabilities” between $1-10M. Among its top creditors is Perry Ellis Int'l, which “licensed the Hogan name to the company" and is owed $267,500 (FT. WORTH STAR-TELEGRAM, 1/30).

SWING SET: Farmers Insurance will become the presenting sponsor of Golf Channel’s "Feherty," which returns March 6 at 9:00pm ET. This marks the first presenting sponsor in the history of the program (THE DAILY).

FUEL INJECTED: Gasoline brand 76 has its round orange logo adorning the Dynamo’s training jerseys. The logo placement is part of a multiyear agreement between the club and Houston-based Motiva Enterprises, which markets the brand in the region, struck last October (Dynamo).
