Patriots Owner ROBERT KRAFT was "among the VIPs" at DONALD TRUMP's Chairman's Global Dinner on Tuesday. Kraft was "photographed hobnobbing" with Counselor to the President KELLYANNE CONWAY. NFL Jets Owner WOODY JOHNSON was also in attendance (BOSTON GLOBE, 1/19). Redskins Owner DAN SNYDER attended the event, though he "did not contribute to Trump's campaign" (WASHINGTONPOST.com, 1/18).

AWARDS SEASON: The PGA of America named former N.Y. Times golf writer LARRY DORMAN the recipient of its PGA Lifetime Achievement Award in Journalism. Dorman will be honored April 5 (PGA)....The Georgia Association of Broadcasters named longtime Hawks radio play-by-play broadcaster STEVE HOLMAN to its HOF Class of '17. The induction ceremony will be held at the Univ. of Georgia on Feb. 24 (GAB).

NAMES: USA Gymnastics will be “added as a defendant" to a lawsuit filed by a woman against former Team USA physician DR. LARRY NASSAR. It is “one of five lawsuits that have been filed against Nassar,” and USA Gymnastics is “now a defendant in three” (LANSING STATE JOURNAL, 1/19)....A federal judge on Tuesday “issued three setbacks” to CHARLES BANKS IV, the former financial advisor to former NBAer TIM DUNCAN, who is "disputing that he defrauded” Duncan. The judge “declined to dismiss three of the four wire fraud charges” against Banks. The judge also “turned down" Banks' request to "move the trial from San Antonio and rejected his motion to suppress a statement he made to the FBI" (SAN ANTONIO EXPRESS-NEWS, 1/19)....UFC fighter ANDERSON SILVA will star in “MADE IN KOWLOON,” an action film now in production with FRUIT CHAN directing (VARIETY.com, 1/19).

IN MEMORY: Former Independent Northwoods League Green Bay Bullfrogs President JEFFREY ROYLE on Tuesday was “killed in a snowmobile crash” at the age of 48. Royle was the majority owner and president of the Bullfrogs and Titletown Baseball Group LLC from ‘07-13. Royle's career “mostly revolved around sports-related businesses, including starting a nationwide amateur golf tour and publishing the Packer Report through family-owned Royle Publications.” He also “owned a stake" in the Indoor Football League's Green Bay Blizzard for several years (GREEN BAY PRESS-GAZETTE, 1/19).
