New UFC Corporate Offices Give Nearly All Employees A View Of Fighter Training Center

The UFC is moving its corporate offices to a different Las Vegas location in May, and "virtually every spot" of the new facility "comes equipped with sight lines into the campus' centerpiece -- a performance institute for fighters," according to Case Keefer of the LAS VEGAS SUN. UFC Senior Exec VP & COO Ike Lawrence Epstein said, "The philosophy behind that was, yes, we’re working in PR, working in events or whatever aspect of the company, but every day, you should be thinking about our product." Keefer notes the structure of the 184,000-square-foot building is "almost fully in place, with the rest of the body expected to fill out by early May when the staff is scheduled to vacate the old UFC offices." UFC Dir of Athlete Development James Kimball said, "Our goals here are simple yet ambitious, and that is to accelerate the evolution of the MMA athlete while also becoming a leader in the sports performance community." Keefer notes the UFC is "making cutting-edge training technology available for free to its roster of nearly 500 fighters." Connected to the outdoor workout courtyard on the ground floor will be "amenities like a cryotherapy chamber, hydroworx pool, compression and laser-therapy units and all the latest standard fitness equipment." Epstein said, "If this thing works out even close to the way we think it’s going to, it will be the greatest investment we’ve ever made." Although the center can "accommodate up to 200 people at a time, the UFC plans to schedule it out and limit availability to far fewer than that." A long-term goal is to "share the innovation with other athletes who come through Las Vegas" (LAS VEGAS SUN, 1/19).
