In San Antonio, Joshua Fechter noted Slam Duncan O's, the cereal named for former NBAer Tim Duncan, "officially hit H-E-B stores" yesterday. H-E-B Group VP/Marketing & Advertising Cory Basso said that it "took two hours to sell out the first 500 boxes of the limited edition honey nut toasted cereal with chocolate puffs, which were accidentally stocked on the shelves of one store Friday." Fechter noted H-E-B is "producing up to 400,000 boxes of the cereal." The supermarket chain is "limiting purchases to six per customer" (MYSANANTONIO.com, 1/16).
