Twins Owner Jim Pohlad Says Club Is Not For Sale, Will Be "Lucky" To Break Even In '17

Twins Owner Jim Pohlad last week said that the club is "not for sale," and he has "received no offers," according to Charley Walters of the ST. PAUL PIONEER PRESS. Pohlad: "I don’t think people view us as a seller because we’re not. ... (Ownership) appears to be fully ingrained in the fourth generation now -- for sure in the third." He also mentioned that there are Pohlad grandchildren who "might someday want to continue the baseball ownership legacy." When asked if the club will lose money this upcoming season after having the worst record in MLB last year, Pohlad said, "Every season’s a little bit up and down, and there are a million different ways to measure whether you make money or you lose money. But the best way is cash flow, and we’ll be lucky to break even on a cash flow basis this year" (ST. PAUL PIONEER PRESS, 12/4).
