Buyers & Sellers: Hassan Whiteside's Miami Home Gets Hoops-Themed Fish Tank

Heat C HASSAN WHITESIDE recently purchased a home on Miami Beach for $7.3M and he has "some big dreams" for a fish tank. In an episode of Animal Planet's "Tanked" set to air Friday,  Whiteside explains to the hosts that he is a "huge fan of fish tanks" and "describes them as 'art.'" After searching Whiteside's house for the "perfect location, the group decided on the dining room." The tank is "basketball themed and has a custom-built plastic coral insert and is highlighted by a basketball feature with a spinning logo that displays 'MH' for Miami Heat or 'HW' for Hassan Whiteside" (South Florida SUN-SENTINEL, 11/11).

ZEILE THE DEAL
: Former MLBer TODD ZEILE sold his home in the Westlake Village area of L.A. for $1.625M. Zeile bought the property three years ago for $1.405M. The roughly 3,700-square-foot house "features beamed ceilings, large picture windows and wood and tile floors throughout." There are "five bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms." Located on the property is a "lighted tennis court" (LATIMES.com, 11/9).

SIGNS IN THE YARD: Basketball HOFer SCOTTIE PIPPEN is "reducing the asking price" for his Ft. Lauderdale home to $10.9M. Built in '04, the nearly 13,500-square-foot home "features a three-story foyer, a temperature-controlled wine room, a home theater, six bedrooms, seven full bathrooms and two powder rooms." There is a "fitness room" and an "expansive terrace" that overlooks the 215 feet of waterfront (LATIMES.com, 11/4)....Former NASCAR driver MARK MARTIN has placed his four-bedroom, 4.5-bath mansion on Lake Norman just outside of Charlotte on the market for $2.55M (FOXSPORTS.com, 11/8).
