The Legacy Agency has signed Navy football coach KEN NIUMATALOLO for representation in all areas. TLA Dir of Coaches THAYER EVANS and agent LEE KAPLAN will rep Niumatalolo, who was previously without representation. Niumatalolo is the winningest coach in Navy football history (Liz Mullen, Staff Writer).

RE-CYCLED MATERIAL: LANCE ARMSTRONG in June started his own podcast in his "first big public initiative since scandal upended his life." The show, called "THE FORWARD," "evokes the idea that after a difficult few years, Armstrong is trying to focus on what’s in front of him." After 20 episodes, the show is ranked as one of iTunes' "top sports podcasts, though it’s not really about sports." The program has "no sponsors and no breaks." It is just Armstrong and his guests, which have included musician SEAL, author MALCOLM GLADWELL, former Texas congresswoman WENDY DAVIS, former tennis player CHRIS EVERT and even a man who was "imprisoned for a murder he didn’t commit" (WASHINGTON POST, 11/7).  


COURT REPORT
: Former NFLer PATRICK WILLIS in a lawsuit filed Oct. 26 accused his business partner at Open Source Storage of "defrauding him" of some $2M. The suit alleges that EREN NIAZI manipulated Willis into making “'unsuitable and imprudent investments,' including the purchase of three homes" in Morgan Hill, Calif. (S.F. CHRONICLE, 11/5)....Former Univ. of Illinois football player ANTHONY DURKIN on Friday filed suit against the university, former AD and former head coach for "allegedly forcing him to return early from an injury, eventually causing him to lose his scholarship" (CHICAGO SUN-TIMES, 11/6).

NAMES: The Sharks yesterday teamed up with a San Jose Special Olympics organization to "put on a floor hockey match." The team "convinced some of its sponsors to donate" for the team's jerseys, helmet and helmet decals. Sharks coach PETE DEBOER "served as the referee for the scrimmage" (SAN JOSE MERCURY NEWS, 11/7)....CBS has "put in development" a hybrid comedy exec produced by LEBRON JAMES and SpringHill Entertainment CEO MAVERICK CARTER. The show, "THANKLESS," centers on a "group of ambitious assistants who pursue their dreams at a sports agency in Chicago" (DEADLINE.com, 11/4)....Orioles CF ADAM JONES’ annual benefit tailgate party yesterday “raised a record amount to benefit local Boys and Girls Club of America.” This year’s #StayHungry Purple Tailgate -- held prior to yesterday’s Steelers-Ravens game at M&T Bank Stadium -- “earned $50,000 for the Boys and Girls Clubs of Metropolitan Baltimore” (Baltimore SUN, 11/7)....Cubs LF BEN ZOBRIST, SS ADDISON RUSSELL and 2B JAVIER BAEZ on Saturday “participated in a parade" through Magic Kingdom at Disney World (ORLANDO SENTINEL, 11/6).
