Quail Hollow Club Previews Luxury Suites For Upcoming PGA Championship In Charlotte

Charlotte's Quail Hollow Club hosts the '17 PGA Championship, and corporate hospitality buyers on Tuesday met with tournament reps to "test drive a pair of luxury chalets" and determine what final "touches they want for their suites" for the August event, according to Erik Spanberg of the CHARLOTTE BUSINESS JOURNAL. The chalets on display this week "include glass, sideboard wooden paneling and high-definition TVs measuring 40 inches and up." Various seating areas, from "casual to more formal, accommodate as many as 90 people at a time in the 100-person chalets." All but four chalets "have been sold, setting a new corporate sales benchmark for a PGA Championship 10 months before the event." Chalet capacity "ranges from 50 to 150 people and cost $170,000 to $500,000." Chalet clusters will be "located at the 17th green, the 18th fairway, the 10th green and in a lake-view perch with sight lines for several holes along the back nine." During the tournament, 100 companies will "entertain clients, employees and prospects at Quail Hollow Club" (BIZJOURNALS.com, 11/1). In Charlotte, Rick Rothacker noted corporate clients "will work with caterer Levy Restaurants on their menus and discuss decorating options with designer Barton G." They can also "shop for branded shirts, hats and other items for their guests" (CHARLOTTE OBSERVER, 11/2).
