The Red Sox promoted VP/Int'l Scouting EDDIE ROMERO to Senior VP & Assistant GM. Romero will report directly to President of Baseball Operations DAVE DOMBROWSKI. The Red Sox "will not name" a GM following the departure of MIKE HAZEN to the D-backs. Romero also will replace Hazen on the Red Sox' executive management committee (BOSTON GLOBE, 10/26). Meanwhile, longtime Red Sox Mental Skills Coordinator BOB TEWKSBURY said that his contract "was not renewed" for the '17 season. Tewksbury joined the team after the '04 season and "worked with players in the organization in that capacity for 11 of the last 12 seasons" (BOSTON GLOBE, 10/26). The D-backs officially named Red Sox VP/Amateur & Int'l Scouting AMIEL SAWDAYE Senior VP & Assistant GM (AP, 10/25).

EXECS: Fox Sports promoted WHIT HASKEL to Senior VP/Brand Marketing, where he will oversee marketing cooperation between Fox Deportes and Fox Sports' English-language channels (John Ourand, Staff Writer)....The Red Bulls will name Dir of Ticket Sales & Service JAMIE PONCE Dir of Business Operations for its reserve team, USL club N.Y. Red Bulls II, effective Dec. 1. He will report to Red Bulls II GM and Red Bull Arena COO SHAUN OLIVER (Alex Silverman, Staff Writer)....The Univ. of Pennsylvania named La Salle Univ. Associate AD KEVIN BONNER Associate AD/Administration & Strategic Communications (Penn)....Collegiate Sports Management Group promoted ADAM LEBOWITZ to Marketing Manager, where he will focus on sponsorship sales efforts across D-I and D-II schools and conferences (THE DAILY)....Eiger Marketing Group named Octagon Account Manager JENNIFER TIERNEY Account Dir, where she will managed the agency's hospitality, consulting and event programs, which include the ShopRite LPGA Classic (THE DAILY)....Learfield named NBA Kings Corporate Development Manager MATT MENDES GM of its Cal Poly Sports Properties (Learfield).
