Michigan State AD Hollis Says Plans Moving Forward For Future Basketball Game In Greece

Michigan State AD Mark Hollis on Monday said that the men's basketball program's potential future game in Greece against USC is "still moving forward," according to Kyle Austin of MLIVE.com. Hollis has spoken "hopefully" of the game for years. He said that "timing and other issues still need to be figured out." Hollis: "The conversations have picked up a little bit on planning. As you could imagine, it takes a long time." Hollis also spoke about another one of his "signature events that was called off: the three-city, four-team barnstorming event that was scheduled" for '18. Through the planning process, involving finances and logistics, MSU, Florida, Texas and North Carolina "decided the event was no longer in their best interests." Hollis said that the schools "may look to restructure the event." Hollis: "We kind of got to a point where the risk started to outweigh what we thought would be the positive value back to the institutions. For every good idea there's 100 that are a challenge" (MLIVE.com, 10/25).
