Tourney host GREG NORMAN made the announcement yesterday, also noting U.S. Ryder Cup captain DAVIS LOVE III and Bronze Medal-winner MATT KUCHAR will compete. The course is "now being managed by Troon Golf." The company "took over in September." Norman said, "I keep my finger on the pulse with them" (NAPLES DAILY NEWS, 10/25).

CLIENT HOSPITALITY: In Milwaukee, Steve Jagler profiles MSG Promotions President & CEO MIMI GRIFFIN, who is in "charge of selling corporate hospitality packages" for the '17 U.S. Open at Erin Hills in Hartford, Wisc. Griffin "expects to attract 200 to 300 corporate clients from across the nation." They are "coming to Erin Hills this month to be carted around by Griffin and her staff, so they can choose the precise location and size of their hospitality tents" (MILWAUKEE JOURNAL SENTINEL, 10/23). 

HEADING TO COURT: An African-American Boston Fire Department inspector Friday "filed a lawsuit" against the Red Sox, "six months after a black co-worker sued the team over an incident in which both men allege they were denied entry to Fenway Park to perform a safety inspection because of their race." RHOAN DALMAR "filed the civil complaint in Suffolk Superior Court." The alleged incident took place at Fenway Park during a '13 World Series game (BOSTON GLOBE, 10/25). 

THE GOOD STUFF: Jaguars Owner SHAHID KHAN made a $1M gift to Baptist MD Anderson Cancer Center that, with matching funds, has created a $2.25M Jaguars endowment for breast cancer prevention, treatment and care. Khan presented a check to Baptist Health President & CEO HUGH GREENE during Sunday's Raiders-Jaguars game (Jaguars).

NAMES: Former Florida State football coach BOBBY BOWDEN last night "introduced presidential nominee DONALD TRUMP during a rally in Tampa" (ORLANDO SENTINEL, 10/25)....MLB Cardinals manager MIKE MATHENY is part of an "investment group proposing the construction" of the "Chesterfield Dome Complex," a "monumental domed sports facility" in St. Louis (ST. LOUIS POST-DISPATCH, 10/22)....Mets P NOAH SYNDERGAARD "dressed as his namesake [Thor] while filming an episode of 'KEVIN CAN WAIT'" with actor KEVIN JAMES, a noted Mets fan. The episode "looks to be Halloween-themed" (ESPNNY.com, 10/24)....The WALL STREET JOURNAL MAGAZINE's "Soapbox" feature this month profiles Gold Medal-winning U.S. gymnast SIMONE BILES. This month's topic was "Impulse" (WALL STREET JOURNAL MAGAZINE, September/October '16 issue).
