GO WEST, YOUNG MAN: The D-backs reportedly will name Red Sox VP/Amateur & Int'l Scouting AMIEL SAWDAYE Assistant GM. Sawdaye has been with the Red Sox' amateur scouting department since '02, and he was "thought to be a candidate to replace" newly hired D-backs GM MIKE HAZEN as Red Sox GM. It is "unclear" whether Red Sox President of Baseball Operations DAVE DOMBROWSKI "intends to fill the position" (ESPN.com, 10/24).

In her previous position with Coke, she managed properties that included the Olympics, NCAA, NBA, NASCAR and LEBRON JAMES (ACS)....The Blue Jackets named KATHERINE SCHUETTE HR Coordinator; BRAD ZARNOCH Technical Support Specialist and MARY LYNN BERILLA CRM Coordinator (Blue Jackets)....Learfield named Anchorage Convention Center Sales Manager MARK HAMLIN GM of its Univ. of Alaska Seawolf Sports Properties (Learfield)....Muskingum (Ohio) Univ. promoted SID TOM CAUDILL to Dir and Assistant Professor of Athletics Communication (Muskingum).
