Robert Kraft Mum On Political Lean For Election; Trump Getting NASCAR Fans' Vote?

Patriots Owner ROBERT KRAFT on Friday "declined to say who he was supporting for president" in the upcoming election, according to Danny McDonald of the BOSTON GLOBE. Kraft: "One thing I learned, especially since owning the team over the last 23 years, I just put America first, and don’t get involved in politics." But Kraft did say the "divide in Washington is really disheartening to me" (BOSTON GLOBE, 10/22). Meanwhile, in Boston, Jordan Graham noted former MLBer CURT SCHILLING on Saturday "headlined" a pro-DONALD TRUMP rally at City Hall Plaza in Boston, but "only a handful of supporters braved the wet and windy weather to hear the potential 2018 Senate candidate weigh in" (BOSTON HERALD, 10/23).

THE NASCAR VOTE: In Charlotte, David Scott wrote it is "safe to generalize that Trump will get the NASCAR vote -- from the sport’s chairman, some current and former drivers and, of course, its fans." In a "highly unscientific survey of several NASCAR fans" this weekend at Talladega Superspeedway, there was not one who "supported Democratic candidate HILLARY CLINTON." Two of NASCAR's "most influential figures" -- HOFer RICHARD PETTY and Chair & CEO BRIAN FRANCE -- have "personally endorsed Trump" (CHARLOTTE OBSERVER, 10/23).
