Dolphins' Tannehill Echoes Belichick, Says He Has Had Issues With Microsoft Tablet

Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill has found the Microsoft Surface tablet he “uses during games to look at formations sometimes 'glitches,'" according to Joe Schad of the PALM BEACH POST. Tannehill said, “There have been a few issues this year that have come up, just having to go to the IT guys or whoever controls it. And having to re-load it. Because it glitches or something. There have been a few issues with it, but overall it’s been good this year.” Tannehill said that this is the “first year he has used a tablet.” Dolphins backup QB Matt Moore added that he “sticks to old-school photos,” like Patriots coach Bill Belichick, who earlier this week said that he finds the tablets “unreliable.” Tannehill said that the “only difference between the tablet and photos are that the tablet presents in color” (PALMBEACHPOST.com, 10/19).

GOODELL DEFENDS PRODUCT: NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell yesterday addressed Belichick's comments about the Surface tablets NFL teams use, saying the league is "proud" of its relationship with Microsoft. Goodell said, "We think they've got a great product." He added, "Any time you have a new technology coming in, there's going to be adoption issues that you're going to have to get through. But we think it's been game-changing literally" (ESPN, 10/19).
