Audience Analysis: Tour Championship Finale Best Since '12; "Ballers" Season 2 Down 31%

NBC on Sunday drew 2.54 million viewers for the final round of the Tour Championship, which saw Rory McIlroy beat Ryan Moore and Kevin Chappell in a four-hole playoff to win the PGA Tour's FedExCup. That figure marks the best final round for the event since ’12, when Brandt Snedeker beat Justin Rose by three strokes. The 2.54 million viewers is up from 2.4 million viewers last year, when Jordan Spieth won the event by four strokes over Danny Lee and Rose. While up from recent years, the audience is around 2 million viewers below the ’09 event, when Phil Mickelson beat Tiger Woods by three strokes.
