California-based Opus Bank has agreed to a multiyear deal that makes it the official bank of the Pac-12 Conference. Opus, which replaces Bank of the West, will have an array of assets, ranging from advertising on the linear Pac-12 Networks to a full presence at league championship events and a robust digital package. The agreement also designates Opus as the presenting sponsor for the #12 Best franchise, Pac-12 Football Gameday, the gymnastics meet of the week and the baseball game of the week (Michael Smith, Staff Writer).

COMING ON BOARD
: In Cincinnati, Steve Watkins reported first-year USL club FC Cincinnati has signed Illinois-based CDK Global as "an official sponsor." CDK Global is a provider of "digital marketing and other solutions that integrate auto dealers' services" (BIZJOURNALS.com, 9/28). Also in Cincinnati, Kate Murphy reports the club and local startup Lisnr are "launching a new mobile app aimed at enhancing" the team's fan experience (CINCINNATI ENQUIRER, 9/29).

SELLING ICE TO AN ESKIMO? THE HOCKEY NEWS' Ken Campbell noted the World Cup of Hockey is selling a "crystal replica" puck filled with ice water from the tournament, along with a "lovely box," for $65. Fanatics Mounted Memories has the collection process "evidenced by an authentic numbered seal along with a picture of a bucket of ice and another of the process of the pucks being filled" (THEHOCKEYNEWS.com, 9/28).
