Two of the top contributors to presidential campaigns from the San Antonio area included Spurs Sports & Entertainment Chair & CEO JULIANNA HOLT and her husband PETER. Juliana contributed more than $722,047 and Peter $302,447. They both "split their contributions between several candidates." First they "wrote checks" to former Texas Gov. RICK PERRY's presidential campaign. But they also donated to Republicans CARLY FIORINA, JEB BUSH, BEN CARSON and most recently to DONALD TRUMP (NEWS4SANANTONIO.com, 9/23).

QUEEN BEYBEYONCE late last year "hired a new team of top executives," including JP Morgan Chase Head of Sports & Entertainment Marketing STEVE PAMON COO. Pamon runs Beyonce's Parkwood Entertainment day-to-day, and is her "chief negotiator for all business matters." Pamon brings a "packed rolodex." Besides his time on Wall Street, he has worked at the NFL and HBO (WALL STREET JOURNAL, 9/24). 50 CENT was "on the field" last night prior to Bears-Cowboys. Beyonce and JAY Z were also spotted in Cowboys Owner JERRY JONES' suite (DALLAS MORNING NEWS, 9/26).

SUPPORT THE TROOPS: The patriotic cleats Titans LB AVERY WILLIAMSON wore during the season opener "fetched $6,600 in an online auction" that ended last week. Williamson "will donate the money to Operation Warrior Wishes." He said that he "never imagined the shoes would raise so much money for charity." Williamson: "Before all this stuff, I thought maybe the most $1,000" (Nashville TENNESSEAN, 9/24).

HOOPS HISTORYKOBE BRYANT attended a donor reception on Saturday at the "newly opened National Museum of African American History and Culture" in DC. Bryant, through the Kobe and Vanessa Bryant Family Foundation, "played a significant role in the museum's funding," donating between $1-2M to the cause. A handful of other past and current NBAers also donated $1M or more, including LEBRON JAMES, via his LeBron James Family Foundation, and MAGIC JOHNSON and MICHAEL JORDAN, who donated between $5M and $10M to fund the museum (WASHINGTONPOST.com, 9/24).

NAMES: The Big East hosted its second annual Freshman Fundamentals this weekend, with Saturday’s program beginning with a Person Brand Presentation by Image Builders President & CEO DENITA TURNER. Big East men's basketball players yesterday heard from Fox Sports Coordinating Producer BARDIA SHAH-RAIS and Lead Producer STEVE SCHEER. The players then took a bus to MSG and spoke with Exec VP/Marquee Events & Operations JOEL FISCHER (Big East)....The Chiefs and the K.C. community raised more than $277,000 for the Ronald McDonald House Charities of K.C. during Red Friday and the Hunt Family Foundation 50/50 raffle at the Chiefs’ home opener on Sept. 11 (Chiefs)....Patriots coach BILL BELICHICK’s eponymous foundation “held its annual Hall of Fame Huddle fund-raiser” on Friday. Celtics coach BRAD STEVENS and former NFLer JEROD MAYO were in attendance (BOSTON GLOBE, 9/25)....Tennis players MIKE and BOB BRYAN were “joined by childhood friend actress KALEY CUOCO” at their Bryan Brothers Grid Tennis Fest yesterday at Spanish Hills Country Club in Camarillo, Calif.
