Sandy Montag Leaving IMG To Work Full-Time At His Own Company

Pioneer sports broadcasting agent Sandy Montag will be leaving IMG to work full-time as President & CEO of his own company, The Montag Group, starting Saturday. Montag's move to represent broadcast clients at his own firm has been long planned and the relationship between Montag and IMG is amicable. Montag announced in ‘14 that he was launching his own company, while continuing to represent broadcasters at IMG. Some of his longtime clients include Bob Costas, Jim Nantz and John Madden. Instead of splitting his time between IMG and The Montag Group, he now will work full time at his company. Montag in a statement said, “I have had a great 30 plus years at IMG and I have the utmost respect for Rick Rosen and his team.  I hope to find ways to work with them in the future.” Rosen, WME partner and head of television, has overseen the company's sports broadcast business since ‘14.
