Buyers & Sellers: Cal Ripken Jr. Puts 25-Acre Maryland Home On Market For $12.5M

Baseball HOFer CAL RIPKEN JR. has put his 25-acre estate in Reisterstown, Md., on the market for $12.5M. The home features "six bedrooms, 10 full bathrooms and five half baths," along with a "full-size basketball court, batting cage, training room and locker room." There is a "home theater with a box office, stage, candy counter and seating for 11, and an expansive kitchen designed to feed 100 guests." Ripken also "designed and built a full-size baseball field on the property" (Baltimore SUN, 9/22). 

INTO THE WOODS: Reebok Founder PAUL FIREMAN has put his 14-acre estate in Brookline, Mass., on the market for $90M. The house, "known as Woodland Manor," was built in '00. It has a "curving facade of Indiana limestone" and more than 26,000 square feet of living space (BIZJOURNALS.com, 9/22).

BUYERS & SELLERS: Spurs F LAMARCUS ALDRIDGE has "bought a home" in Newport Coast, Calif., for $7M. The 6,800 square feet of interiors "include a living room with a fireplace, a family/media room, an office/den and a bonus room/gym with a sauna." The "second-floor master suite sports a fireplace and a sitting room; there are four bedrooms and six bathrooms in all." A balcony in the master bath "overlooks the grounds" (LATIMES.com, 9/15)....Golfer BUBBA WATSON has sold his home in the Isleworth community near Orlando for $4.1M -- the same residence formerly owned by TIGER WOODS. The 8,000-square-foot, seven-bedroom, eight-bath home has “multiple entertainment rooms, including a gaming area, a private theater, a pool deck and a boat dock" (BIZJOURNALS.com, 9/19)....Dodgers 2B CHASE UTLEY is selling his home in Gladwyne, Pa., for $2.78M. The “two-story Colonial,” which was once owned by Basketball HOFer ALLEN IVERSON, came on the market in April for $3.495M. Built in ’98, the 8,141-square-foot home has “French doors that open to a rear deck, and a lower-level lounge sports a rec room, an exercise room and a wine cellar” (LATIMES.com, 9/19).
