Check Out Time: Hilton Ending USOC Sponsorship After 11 Years

Hilton will end its 11-year relationship with the USOC, citing an ongoing review of its sports portfolio that has also led the hotel chain to drop sponsorships of the Canadian Olympic Committee, USA Volleyball and USA Gymnastics beyond this year, a spokesperson confirmed. Hilton has been with the USOC since '05 and will remain as a supporting partner for USA Gymnastics' post-Olympic tour that starts Thursday. "Hilton was a great partner to the USOC for many years," said USOC Managing Dir of Partnership Marketing Mitch Poll. "We will especially miss the people, including David Black who personally invested much time and energy to our relationship over the years, as we move forward." Black serves as Hilton Worldwide's Senior Dir of Partnerships & Sponsorships. Hilton's deals mostly revolved around its HHonors rewards program. Contenders to replace Hilton in the hotel category for the USOC could include Marriott, which has deals with USA Hockey and USA Swimming.
