Media Notes

ESPN VP/Production and "MNF" Producer Jay Rothman yesterday said that if 49ers QB Colin Kaepernick is on the team's roster for Week 1 of the regular season, his "refusal to stand for the national anthem will be a part of the telecast." The 49ers host the Rams on Monday, Sept. 12 as the "second game of a doubleheader." Rothman during a conference call said that the anthem "wouldn't be shown live, but that it would be covered as a news story." Sideline reporter Lisa Salters said that she expected Lindsay Czarniak, who is working that game, to "address the issue." Meanwhile, KPIX-CBS Sports Dir Dennis O'Donnell said that when the 49ers play the Chargers tomorrow in a preseason game, the anthem "will be part of the telecast on the local broadcast" (SAN JOSE MERCURY NEWS, 8/31).

FANTASY DRAFT: NFL Network will add a second daily show dedicated to fantasy football, titled "Fantasy and Friends." The show premieres Monday, Sept. 5 and airs Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday at 6:00pm ET throughout the season. Maurice Jones-Drew, Dave Dameshek, Adam Rank and Erin Coscarelli will serve as hosts (NFL Network).

BEARING IT ALL: In Chicago, Mark Potash notes former NFLer Brian Urlacher will "be a featured contributor to Comcast SportsNet's Bears coverage with a weekly show, 'The Hard Count with Brian Urlacher,'" which will air Thursday evenings beginning Sept. 15. Urlacher will be "joined on the show" by host Mark Schanowski, former NFLer Jim Miller and former Bears coach Dave Wannstedt to "preview the upcoming Bears game" (CHICAGO SUN-TIMES, 8/31).
