Intersport has hired Robert Morris Univ. Associate AD KURT MELCHER to "lead its esports activities, highlighting a fast-increasing interest among sports marketing agencies" in the industry. While at RMU for the past two decades, Melcher "became a prominent figure in competitive video gaming." Melcher will "help lead a push for Intersport into collegiate esports competitions, as well as aiding brands in activating in the space." He will be based out of Intersport's Chicago HQ (SPORTSBUSINESS JOURNAL, 8/15 issue).  

EXECS: The AAC named Univ. of Minnesota assistant men's basketball coach NATE POMEDAY Associate Commissioner/Men's Basketball (AAC)....Florida-based JP Sports & Entertainment promoted Dir of Sales & Marketing KEVIN MARCH to VP (THE DAILY)....CAA Sports promoted ROBBIE COHEN and JESSE TOMARES to Execs in its consulting group, while ASHLEY FEAGAN was promoted to Agent in its talent sales group. All three are based in CAA's N.Y. office (CAA)....Ohio Univ. promoted Exec Senior Associate AD AMY DEAN to Deputy AD. The school also named RANDEE DUFFY Senior Associate AD and JASON FARMER Associate AD (OU).
