Comcast in an SEC filing said that it has re-signed NBCU CEO STEVE BURKE through August '20, with a $10M "stock option to reward him for his 'outstanding work' and to 'incent' him to do a good job." The stock option vests Aug. 14, 2023. The filing said that Burke will be credited with $4.1M in '17 with "annual contributions growing 5% a year" through '20. Burke's compensation came to $33.7M in '15 (DEADLINE.com, 7/28). 

STEEL RESERVE: The Steelers added the title of VP to GM KEVIN COLBERT's duties, while Chief Contract Negotiator OMAR KHAN added the title of VP/Football & Business Administration. The team also promoted the following: MARK HART to VP/Planning & Development; BOB TYLER to VP/Finance; SCOTT PHELPS to VP/Technology; RYAN HUZJAK to VP/Sales & Marketing; SUSAN MCGALLA to VP/Business Strategy & Creative Development and JIM SACCO to VP/Stadium Operations & Management. The new titles "were not announced by the team but merely appeared" in the '16 Steelers media guide (PITTSBURGH POST-GAZETTE, 7/29).

EXECS: The NHLPA named Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP Partner BRUCE MEYER Senior Dir of Collective Bargaining, Policy & Legal (NHLPA)....Under Armour "will lose" Exec Creative Dir of Concepts/Apparel, Accessories & Footwear LEANNE FREMAR in October when she "departs for Starbucks" (BIZJOURNALS.com, 7/28)....SXSW Head of Convergence REBECCA FEFERMAN is leaving the company to pursue a new role in sports and entertainment (THE DAILY)....Kentucky State Univ. named former men's basketball coach WILLIAM GRAHAM AD. He replaces WILLIAM HEAD (KENTUCKY.com, 7/29).
