NBA Adds Joel Browning To Team Marketing & Business Operations After Recent Departures

The NBA named Pistons VP/Business Operations & Strategy JOEL BROWNING VP/Team Marketing & Business Operations. Browning, who spent four years in Detroit, began his job with the league earlier this month and is reporting to TMBO Senior VP BRENDAN DONOHUE. TMBO also shifted WNBA and D-League Account Manager JONATHAN TILLMAN to the NBA. The moves come after former a few execs have left TMBO in recent months. Most recently, TMBO VP JENNIFER VAN DIJK, an SBJ/SBD "Forty Under 40" winner in '15 who joined the league from Wasserman in October, left her job on Tuesday to become Clippers Chief Strategy Officer. TMBO exec JORDAN SOLOMON left in February to take become MSG Sports Exec VP, while JOHN ABBAMONDI left TMBO last month to become MSG Exec VP/Ticketing, Suites & Hospitality. Former TMBO VP KIRSTEN CORIO also left the NBA in April to take a job with the USTA. Donohue said TMBO will likely hire one more account manager and will be fully staffed sometime after Labor Day.
