MLS Average Attendance At All-Star Break On Pace To Break Record Set Last Season

At the All-Star break, MLS teams are averaging 21,429 fans, putting the league on pace to top last year's record-setting figure of 21,109. Overall, half of the league's 20 teams are seeing year-over-year increases at the gate, with the Impact leading the way (+36%) after getting six sellouts at Saputo Stadium to date. Toronto FC and the Galaxy are also experiencing double-digit growth this season. Leading the league with 40,738 fans per match, the Sounders will open up CenturyLink Field to full seating capacity for four of its remaining home matches. In San Jose, the Earthquakes have sold out every match played at Avaya Stadium since it opened in '15. Orlando City SC, Sporting KC, the Timbers and Whitecaps are all entertaining crowds at or above 100% capacity for the season. Despite having the best record in the Western Conference, FC Dallas ranks last in the league in attendance at 13,933 per game, down 9.7% from the same point last year.
