ESPN Sees Jump In Unique Visitors In June Despite Heading Into Slower Sports Period

ESPN led the comScore multiplatform digital rankings in reach for June, the 28th consecutive month it has topped the chart, with a total of 83.3 million unique visitors. ESPN grew its total from May by nearly 6 million despite heading into the slower summer months. It also extended its lead over its closest rival, the Yahoo Sports-NBC Sports Network digital alliance, to more than 27 million uniques. It also topped all entrants in average time spent per visitor with a figure of 74 minutes, growing its lead slightly over second-place MLB, which posted a figure of 69.1 minutes during June. MLB did record the most popular mobile application during the month, in terms of time spent, with MLB.com At Bat generating 1.2 billion minutes of consumption.
