Names In The News

In Boston, Gary Washburn looks at Klutch Sports Founder RICH PAUL, noting that while many NBA players are "dogged by their posses or friends who are simply there for the lifestyle and exposure," Paul has "formed a strong business relationship" with LEBRON JAMES and LRMR Management Founder MAVERICK CARTER. Paul: "We wanted to learn the business; I never wanted to be just known as ‘LeBron’s guy'" (BOSTON GLOBE, 6/26). GETTING POLITICAL: Warriors coach STEVE KERR on Friday “endorsed stronger background checks on gun purchases, saying ‘our government is insane’ for failing to adopt such measures.” Kerr: “Let's have some checks. It's easier to get a gun than it is a driver's license. And it's insane.
