Buyers & Sellers: Greg Norman Looks To Unload Colorado Ranch For $55M

GREG NORMAN is "relisting his Colorado ranch" for $55M. Norman "has put the Meeker, Colo., property, called Seven Lakes Ranch, on the market ... several times" most recently in '11. Norman said that he would "eventually like to move back to his native Australia." His ranch spans "approximately 11,600 acres" and is "located about 130 miles from Aspen in the remote White River Valley." The ranch "includes a roughly 14,000-square-foot main house with eight bedrooms plus staff quarters and 11 other residences" (WSJ.com, 6/23).

ICE HOUSE: The Montecito, Calif., estate of late Flyers Chair ED SNIDER "is seeking" $52M for the Italian-inspired home which "sits on roughly 9.4 landscaped acres with views of the ocean and surrounding mountains." The main house, constructed by Snider around '01, "has eight bedrooms and measures about 21,300 square feet." The home’s lower level family room "has a bar, two flat screen televisions and a home theater that seats about 20." Snider "purchased the property" in '94 (WSJ.com, 6/22).

BROTHERLY LOVE: Former NFLer TIM HASSELBECK and his wife, ELISABETH, just paid over $2M "for a 7,115-square-foot, six bedroom home on Nichol Lane in Bella Meade" in Nashville. The home "has six full and two half baths and sits on a 1.07-acre lot" (TENNESSEAN.com, 6/16)....Former NFLer MATT HASSELBECK put his Meridian Hills estate in Indianapolis up for sale "earlier this month" for $1.5M. The 5,385-square-foot manor comes with a "12-room home, including five bedrooms and four full baths, sitting on 1.3 acres." Built in '50, the regency style, cream-colored house with dark brown accents, "has a second-floor balcony that spans the entire front of the estate" (INDYSTAR.com, 6/22).

LOOKING FOR A BUYER: Former MLBer CHIPPER JONES dropped the list price of his South Texas ranch to $12.5M from $20M after selling 4,280 of the ranch's 9,100 acres. Jones bought the land 16 years ago, and the remaining land comes "with a massive home, guest house, horse facility, runway and airplane hangar" (CHRON.com, 6/21).....NHL Rangers President of Hockey Operations GLEN SATHER is "selling his contemporary-style home in La Quinta, Calif., for" $2.3M. Built in '98, the 4,750 square foot home also has a "detached guest casita with a private entrance." A patio, a fire pit and a lagoon-style swimming pool and spa with a $250,000 waterfall feature "fill more than half an acre of the grounds." The estate was most recently listed for $2.45M (LATIMES.com, 6/22).

SELL, SELL, SELL: Warriors G STEPHEN CURRY earlier this month "sold his home in Orinda, Calif.," for $4.65M in a deal completed off-market. That is "$755,000 more than his reported asking price" and, perhaps even better, $1.55M "more than he paid for the property three years ago." Sitting on "more than half an acre, the tree-topped estate centers on a Spanish-style main house" with 4,700 square feet of interiors that was built in '63 and renovated in '08 (LATIMES.com, 6/20)...Former NFLer KEYSHAWN JOHNSON "has sold a residential lot in the Santa Monica Mountains" for $1.2M. The property is "set within Abercrombie Ranch Estates, a gated community found between Calabasas and Monte Nido." Johnson "bought the parcel a year ago for $900,000" (LATIMES.com, 6/21).

NEW PADS: Chargers QB PHILIP RIVERS "recently purchased an eight-acre plot" in Rancho Santa Fe, Calif., for $4.7M. Found within the Rancho del Lago neighborhood, the "gradually sloping site takes in views extending from the surrounding mountains to La Jolla, as well as a nearby reservoir" (LATIMES.com 6/17)....NBA free agent RYAN ANDERSON "recently bought a house" in Hermosa Beach, near the Lakers' El Segundo practice facility for $5.48M. The 4,800-square-foot home features "a chef's kitchen, a home theater, a wet bar with 600-bottle wine storage and a beach room with a fireplace and another wet bar." A four-stop elevator "connects each level of the home" (LATIMES.com, 6/23).
