FS Southwest Senior VP & GM JON HEIDTKE’s decision to leave the network at the end of the month has set in motion a game of musical chairs at Fox Sports’ RSNs. FS West/Prime Ticket GM STEVE SIMPSON will replace Heidtke at FS Southwest, a move that will lead to FS San Diego GM HENRY FORD taking over as Senior VP & GM overseeing Fox’ San Diego and two L.A.-based RSNs. Fox also promoted LINDSAY AMSTUTZ to Assistant GM of FS West and FS San Diego. She had been a VP/Marketing for Fox Sports’ RSNs. FS Southwest holds the rights to the MLB Rangers, Mavericks, Stars, Spurs, Thunder and Pelicans. Fox’ San Diego and L.A. RSNs hold the rights to the Angels, Clippers, NHL Kings, Ducks and Padres (John Ourand, Staff Writer).


EXECS: The Wall Street Journal named Senior Editor for Europe, the Middle East & Africa BRUCE ORWALL Global Sports Editor. He will lead the publication's sports staff in N.Y. (WSJ)....Fox Sports named Embassy Row Exec Producer GABE GOODWIN to the newly created position of VP/Cross-Platform Content. Goodwin served as the show runner on Season 2 of FS1's "Garbage Time With Katie Nolan" while at Embassy Row (Fox Sports)....The 49ers promoted ROGER HACKER to Dir of Corporate Communications, DAN BECKLER to Dir of Football Communications and MIKE CHASANOFF to Senior Manager of Football Communications (THE DAILY)....Taylor Strategy VP/Media & Consumer Engagement ZACK SMITH has left the agency and started his own sports media relations consultancy based in L.A. (THE DAILY)....Belmont Univ. named FirstBank Senior VP/Corporate Banking SCOTT CORLEY AD. He succeeds MIKE STRICKLAND, who will retire in June (Belmont)....Iowa State Univ. promoted Assistant AD/Student-Athlete Development PATRICE FEULNER to Senior Associate AD/Student Services (AMES TRIBUNE, 6/1)....Basketball stats blog Nylon Calculus Editor SETH PARTNOW began work as a statistical consultant for the Bucks last month. He will continue as Editor, but will not write about the Bucks (Nylon Calculus).
