Univ. Of Colorado In Talks To Extend Long-Term Apparel Partnership With Nike

The Univ. of Colorado's 11-year apparel partnership with Nike is set to end next spring, but CU AD Rick George said that an extension "could come soon," according to Brian Howell of the Boulder DAILY CAMERA. George noted that the school has "looked at other companies," but CU and Nike currently are "in discussions about an extension." George: "Nike has been our partner and I would anticipate them being our partner moving forward." Howell notes the school's current deal with Nike began in '06 and "was extended one year when CU added a women's lacrosse team." CU has partnered with Nike since '95 (Boulder DAILY CAMERA, 5/25).
